Appliance Rebates and Tax Credits: What Is Real
Only real, checkable programs, linked to their official sources, with no amounts promised. If a program is not current on its own page, it is not current here.

Start With the Official Sources
Programs change with budgets and legislation, so this page does one honest job: it sends you to the official sources and explains what documentation to keep. We do not publish dollar amounts for programs, because an amount we printed last season could mislead you this season.
- ENERGY STAR: the federal program's own pages explain which appliance categories carry certification and link current federal guidance. Start with ENERGY STAR guidance on home appliances.
- U.S. Department of Energy: the Energy Saver pages explain appliance energy costs and link federal incentive information. See U.S. Department of Energy: appliance and home electronics energy use.
- TVA EnergyRight: the Tennessee Valley Authority's home program is the regional utility-side source for offers in our area. See TVA EnergyRight home energy programs.
- Williamson County: local government information and any county-level notices are published by the Williamson County, Tennessee official website.
Paperwork Habits That Protect Any Claim
- Keep the invoice showing make, full model and serial number, and the date the appliance was placed in service.
- Save the ENERGY STAR listing or spec sheet for the exact model at purchase time, not a similar model.
- Photograph the rating plate before the old appliance leaves, if a program asks about what was replaced.
- File within the program's window; several programs in past years have required claims within a set number of days.
Choosing efficient replacements is the other half of the saving: our installation service can fit and document new appliances properly, and the appliance lifespan article helps time the change.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee I will get a rebate or credit?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Program terms, funding and eligibility change, and the official program pages are the authority. We point you to the current official sources and provide the purchase and installation documentation most programs ask for.
Which appliances most often qualify for incentives?
In recent programs, ENERGY STAR certified appliances such as certain heat pump dryers, washers, refrigerators and induction ranges have appeared in federal or utility offers at various times. What qualifies right now must be checked on the official pages linked from this page.
Will I know the price before work begins?
Yes. We diagnose first, explain what we found in plain language, and give you an upfront price for your options. Nothing is repaired or installed without your go-ahead.
